Synergy X7 ‘Cheers’
- CLIENT Regis (Hong Kong)
- WE DID Design, Fret Marking
The story dates back to early 2013 when I was checking around for carbon fiber double neck acoustic guitars. I randomly bumped into Emerald Guitar’s homepage and got quick and helpful advice from Alistair regarding details of the Chimaera. While I had just decided to go for the Chimaera, the Synergy was launched and I was simply taken away by the innovative idea a carbon fiber harp guitar! With another series of quick and friendly dialogue with Alistair, I placed my order for the Synergy with personalised carvings and inlay. Not only did Alistair keep me well-updated on the production process, he also provided me with thoughtful advice on the pickup choices to suit my playing style.
Throughout the past two years, I’ve been extensively using the Synergy where I can easily manage both bass lines and melodies at the same time. The carbon fiber body eliminated the concern from conventional wood top bulging caused by the massive string tension on a harp guitar plus the humid Asian weather in Hong Kong. With the light weight characteristics of carbon fiber and the wonderful workmanship by Alistair in smoothening the top edge of the body as a contoured armrest, the Synergy is simply the most comfortable instrument that I can play for hours without getting any soring back or wounding arm. Thanks once again to Alistair in crafting this dream instrument and I’m treasuring the friendship we’ve established since then!!!
