I had my mind set on getting another acoustic guitar for some time. I was already following Alistair and Emerald on Facebook, constantly marvelling at the different guitars they produced. Their uniqueness sold me on going with one of their carbon fiber guitars – the first guitar I would own not made of wood. In order to get a guitar that would (further) stand out from the rest, taking advantage of the custom options Emerald offered was a must – a 'Woody' top veneer and non-stock finish color were no-brainers, but not enough. Alistair had recently made a Synergy harp guitar with an absolutely stunning transparent embossed knot that I wanted to adapt and incorporate on my X20 somehow. After reviewing some Celtic knot designs, I found one that looked like it belonged right along the edge of the sound hole. Alistair fully agreed that it was the perfect addition, and accommodated me even further by carefully sneaking my initials inside the knot. Thanks to Alistair and co., I'm now not only the proud owner of a guitar that plays and sounds beautiful, but is also a one-of-a-kind visual stunner. Having this guitar also takes away nearly every excuse for not playing every day. Plug in and set up the amp? Nope. Where'd my tuner get to? It's built-in. :) It's hard to walk past this guitar an *not* pick it up to play for a bit... Thank you Alistair and Emerald Guitars!
