X7 Electric Orange

We have built a number of guitars for Jean-Marc and the one thing they all have in common is that they are orange. Yes, Jean-Marc has a passion for orange. For this one he was wanting an electric guitar and as we didn’t have a production electric he asked us to base it on our X7 travel guitar. We took a standard X7 and remoulded the body to reduce the depth to 2″. It still retained the same acoustic soundboard so still offered a reasonable acoustic tone. We added a TV Jones Humbucker to the bridge with a volume and tone control to give it a great cross over acoustic electric tone. We were amazed at the power from this little instrument despite the hollow acoustic construction. The paint finish is a custom orange marble mixed with mini fireball flake to give a fantastic deep orange shimmer. Definitely the most unique X7 custom we have built.

I am very happy with the Emerald for the song, of course, and especially for the weight - It is really agreeable to take with me, even up a mountain, and works very well as an acoustic guitar, too.

The colour is very nice and I appreciate the job that has was done for my custom X Electric Emerald. Because the guitar is carbon the notes don't move and the key is very stable, as you want. You can leave the guitar  for two weeks without playing it, and when you take it, it is still in tune

In conclusion, it is exactly what I expected when I got it, very well done and always very happy to have it. I also have an X5 - very useful, because it's small, but with a very good sound, too.
