Amicus Carbon Finish – Pre-Order
From: €1,775.00
The Amicus is a short scale 12-string which allows you to create a completely new sound with your guitar-playing. Imagine not having to learn any new chords, but playing a sound that is more reminiscent of a mandolin. Its short 18” scale allows the Amicus to be tuned up to D, similar to having a capo at the tenth fret and with its full width neck spacing, it is a comfortable and familiar instrument for guitarists who can use their regular chord shapes.

Bill, New York, USA –
This is a truly joyous instrument that will change the way you think about the mandolin and guitar both for that matter. The tone is warm and soothing, and really pleasant! My duet partner is generally intolerant of mandolin, but was instantly, instantly enamoured, now plays it too! Tuned to D it does sound more mando-like, has plenty of chop and projection, or tune as low as B, and feel the tension slack and the strings become more bendable and guitar lick-friendly, very nice.
Alexander Koll, Sweden –
All I can say about the little 12-string is that it’s fun. It’s just got a cool sound unlike anything else and as a guitar player it’s been easy to play all my regular chord shapes on it. It’s a great addition to my collection.

I love the sound of the mandolin but hate that tiny neck. As soon as I saw the Amicus I knew I had to get one. It sounds similar to the mandolin but is easy for a guitar player to play without learning a new instrument. I’ve been having a great time with it since it arrived last week.
Ken Zeff –
My Artisan arrived in California in perfect condition, packed in a sturdy gig bag, along with a lovely custom ceramic mug. I immediately tuned it up, (like a guitar only starting and ending in D) and I’ve been playing it constantly ever since. I love the 12 string tone which has a lovely mandolin quality and the fact that it’s tuned like a guitar means immediate gratification. It is also a beautiful object to look at and admire. Blessings to the Irish people.
