If you are looking for a guitar that has both the acoustic voice of a parlour-sized guitar, and is still compact enough to fit into an overhead locker on a plane, then the X7 is the right choice for you.

The X7 is deceiving. It may be compact, but thanks to its carbon fibre construction, offset soundhole and responsive soundboard, it has a very big voice; So much so that many of our customers use the X7 as their main guitar, on and off stage.

This X7 is part of the monthly Emerald Custom Shop Select Series, a collection of instruments hand-selected by Alistair Hay. For this month’s collection Alistair chose an Amboyna Burl veneer from his stock of select veneers sourced from all over the world, and made all instruments fan-fretted.

The X7 Select Series 5/17 has a 24” to 25” scale which maintains the shorter 24″ scale on the treble, but increases the scale length on the bass side to 25″ which helps increase the bass response and increase the overall fullness of tone.

The X7 Select Series has full gloss finish on all surfaces, an LR Baggs Element Active System™ – VTC pick-up and with a custom-padded Emerald gig bag.

    Hello to all!
As the proud owner of this little masterpiece, I must say, it has surpassed all, of my wildest expectations. Even though all of the photos on the Web site are professionally taken, they do not do proper justice to the fit and finish, especially the Amboyna burl top. It is stunning in person!
The tone’s and sound this thing produces, seam to defy the laws of physics. Is it a dreadnaught booming sound? No. But it packs a serious punch despite its diminutive size. If you want dreadnaught sound, look into the X20. I have one and love as much as the X7, for different reasons.
Get an X7 for yourself, you will love it!
