The X20 Noir marks the beginning of a new range from Emerald, designed around the essentials: inspiring acoustic tone, natural playing comfort and dependable performance.
Its balanced, responsive acoustic voice is equally at home with fingerstyle playing and strumming. An offset soundhole projects that sound more directly towards the player, while the comfortable neck profile and sculpted body make it feel natural in your hands. Carefully considered contours provide lasting comfort, from everyday playing to studio sessions and live performances.
Made by our team in Donegal, Ireland, the X20 Noir combines one-piece carbon fibre construction with a distinctive black satin finish and a straightforward specification that puts the player first.

The new Emerald pickup and preamp system combines an under-saddle pickup with an internal microphone for a natural, versatile amplified sound. Side-mounted controls include three-band EQ, phase reversal and an onboard chromatic tuner, giving you convenient control onstage. The rechargeable preamp keeps power simple with USB-C charging.

The distinctive Crystal Ice satin finish over exposed black carbon fiber sets the Noir apart from the rest of the Emerald lineup. This satin-textured surface offers a unique, textured feel while preserving the clarity and detail of the carbon weave.

Our Moulding technology provides us the freedom to create a wonderfully ergonomic body design featuring the extended neck access, asymmetric side design, rib and forearm bevels which all combined give unprecedented comfort to the player
Tuners
Designed specifically for the Noir range, our Emerald Tuners offer smooth 14:1 gearing and rock-solid tuning stability. Built with simplicity and function in mind, they’re reliable and made to perform.
Composite Bridge
The Noir features a specially designed composite bridge. Its lightweight construction creates an efficient connection between the strings and soundboard, allowing string energy to transfer into the guitar while keeping unnecessary mass low.
Hi-Tech Carbon
Carbon fiber is now used in all the most high tech industries from Aerospace to Formula one Racing where strength and weight is paramount. In fact it was in Formula One Power Boat racing that we discovered that the properties of carbon fiber are also perfectly suited to guitar making creating a lightweight structure that holds up under the tension of the strings while resonating freely with the lightest touch.
Weather Resistant
If you have ever traveled with a guitar you will know just how much temperature and humidity changes can effect the structure, tuning stability and tone of a guitar. This is where carbon fibre construction really excells. Now you can take your guitar from a cold car to a warm stage without worrying that your going to go out of tune after the first strum.

This is my first carbon fiber guitar and I love it!! When my X20 arrived the build quality, setup, fit, and finish were flawless. The tone is amazing and the neck fits my hands perfect. Since I live in an extremely dry climate, I like the fact that I do not have to worry about keep the humidity at a certain level.
