The Amicus is a short-scale 12-string guitar with a truly unique voice. The familiarity of standard guitar tuning allows guitarists to join the sonic world of the mandolin with ease. The Amicus tuning is D-G-C-F-A-D.

| Strings | We create a custom set of strings for the Amicus and the easiest way to find these string gauges is to order two sets of Daddario XS Phosphor Bronze, Custom Light 11-52 and two single .0085 strings (we use Daddario NY steel) discard the .052 strings from the sets and this will leave you with 12 strings perfectly suited to your Amicus. Make your guitar yours with a selection of custom neck inlays. A range of patterns are available, many of which feature Celtic designs, in a nod to Emerald Guitarsā Irish heritage and the rural landscape in which the instruments are crafted.

Amicus - An absolutely stunning instrument
An absolutely stunning instrument with a huge voice! The playability with this many strings is astonishing, and it will be a fantastic addition to my playing style both on stage and in the studio. I’ve had small-bodied guitars of varying scales that often sounded like toysāthe tradeoff for portability. But that’s not so with the Amicus. There is nothing lacking in the fullness, volume, or tone. Truly remarkable and I’m thrilled to have it.
