Overview
As a continuation of our successful Emerald Fest music festivals we have decided to do things a little differently in 2024. Instead of running one event in one location we have decided to run a week of incredible exclusive and intimate music events spread across some of the most scenic and iconic locations in Donegal and only a very select number of guests will be in attendance as part of a luxury guided tour. This is a new and unique way to experience Donegal and our music. Over 5 magical days you will experience a truly unique and luxury experience as Kim and Alistair take you on a guided tour of their favourite places, meet their favourite musicians and stay in their favourite 5 star Hotel.
Sunday (Arriving in style)
As we all gather together for the very first time we will take you on a memorable trip to Donegal to the majestic setting of Rock Hill house which will be your musical home for the next 5 days.

Monday (How its Made)
We decided that the trip should start at the Emerald factory which is the common reason why you are all coming together in Donegal. Kim and Alistair will share their stories and dreams as they show you around the factory and Emerald Cottage and all combined with music of coarse

Tuesday (Stepping back in time)
Today we take you to the area where Alistair was born and visit 2 amazing castles in the shadow of Muckish Mountain. Both castles will be brought alive with some very special performances and no doubt Alistair will have some stories to tell.

Wednesday (The Wild Atlantic Session)
Today we take a trip along the wild Atlantic way to see some of the most spectacular coastline in the world but this area also is known for its music and we will be joining in a Session in Portsalon where you can sit back and enjoy the music but its even better if you join in.

Lunch in Portsalon followed by a Session in The stores Bar with some of the local greats
Dinner in the famous singing pub in Downings with traditional Irish musicians
Late night Jam at Rock Hill
Thursday (Ancient walls)
An Griannan Fort is a very special place overlooking 3 counties and it’s where Alistair loves to take visiting friends to see the view and feel magic in this place. We will bring music to this Ancient Ring Fort and make some very special memories
Breakfast with music
Intimate concert in the Majestic An Griannan Fort with views over Donegal, Derry and Tyrone
Walking tour of the city walls of Derry with Music and lunch along the way
Final dinner in Rock Hill followed by a very special music night full of surprises
Final drink in the bar hosted by Kim and Alistair followed by a group Jam until late
Friday (A sad farewell)
Already we have reached the end of the tour but friendships and memories will last a lifetime. After checkout we will assist you on your onward journey back home or possibly on to explore more of our wonderful country.

Cancellation Policy
To secure your place you need to pay a €950 security deposit followed by the balance 60 days prior to the trip. If for some unforeseen circumstances you need to cancel your place on the trip we cannot guarantee a full refund however we will endeavour to fill your place with another guest and if the place is successfully filled we will be happy to pass on the full refund to you.

Yes there will be lots of opportunities to get involved with the music
Even if you are not a guitarist or music enthusiast you will still have plenty to entertain you with the beautiful scenery, walks on the grounds of Rockhill house, the Spa at Rockhill house and the warm welcome and friendship of the locals and the visitors alike.
Yes we have various room options for solo travelers and couples. We will contact you after your booking to discuss room options which will be allocated on a first booking basis.
Yes you can certainly bring your own guitar with you and we highly encourage that but if you prefer you can borrow a guitar from the Emerald factory for the duration of your stay.
Yes the Chefs at Rockhill can provide a menu to meet your specific needs
