Musicians with the Virtuo guitar in the studio

The Virtuo In The Studio

'Acoustic Body, Electric Soul'

Join the inspirations for the Virtuo, musicians Mark Black and Davy K, as they explore the Virtuo in the recording studio; demonstrating its many uses as a compositional and performing tool, and showing us why it’s deserving of the tagline – ‘acoustic body, electric soul.’

Inspired by musicians Davy K, Johnny Gallagher and Mark Black’s live stream performances during lockdown, Emerald Guitar’s owner Alistair Hay created the Virtuo. Designed as an electric / acoustic guitar hybrid, and featuring electric, acoustic and midi pickup systems, the Virtuo offers a one-guitar-fits-all solution for the gigging musician – as well as being a wonderful compositional tool in the studio. Ergonomically designed for comfort with a slim carbon fiber body, the Virtuo is an acoustic guitar made specifically with the electric player in mind.

Featuring two Fishman Fluence humbucker pickups with vintage and modern sounds, an option to split to single coils and a modern humbucker hot rod boost, as well as fully height adjustable Graphtech individual under-saddle piezos and midi system, the sky really is the limit with the Virtuo. All onboard pickups can be blended together to create a range of sounds unique to each individual player’s tastes.
