We’re excited to share that Emerald Guitars is in the process of establishing a dedicated distribution hub in the United States to better serve our growing U.S. customer base.
Starting today, all orders to the USA—both stock and custom—will be handled via our new U.S. logistics system, ensuring a more seamless and cost-effective experience for our American customers.

Every Emerald instrument continues to be expertly built in our factory in Donegal, Ireland, where we also maintain a full range of guitars for customers in Europe and around the world. Our Donegal Player’s Suite remains open to visitors for in-person demos and factory tours.

Emerald Guitars – U.S. Shipping FAQ
All orders to U.S. customers are now processed via our new U.S. distribution hub. This means your guitar is still crafted in Ireland, but imported by Emerald and then shipped to you within the USA, avoiding customs delays and extra charges.
No. All U.S. orders are now tariff- and duty-free. We handle all importation and logistics, you’ll pay no hidden charges on delivery.
Yes. We continue to offer free shipping to all U.S. customers, now made even smoother via our U.S. hub.
We are currently working to stock a huge range of Emeralds in our US hub, until then our expected delivery time is 2-4 weeks while we transition.
Stock guitars will arrive faster once they are located in our US hub, as they ship domestically from our U.S. warehouse.
Custom orders are still built in Ireland, but will be imported by us before delivery—still avoiding any duties or fees. This will not impact the current lead time on custom orders (2-3 months).
Our new U.S. distribution hub in Florida is currently being established and managed by Chris Hay, Alistair’s brother. We’ll share more details soon, including when our U.S. Player’s Suite will open for visits.
Absolutely. Customers in Europe and the rest of the world will continue to receive orders directly from our headquarters in Donegal, Ireland, with a full range of stock and custom guitars available.
We’re in the process of setting up a U.S.-based service centre to handle repairs and warranty work locally—no need to ship guitars back to Ireland. More updates coming soon.
Yes—every Emerald Guitar is still handcrafted in our factory in Donegal, Ireland, by the same team, with the same attention to detail and innovation we’ve been known for over the last 27 years.
At this time, we do not charge U.S. sales tax on orders. However, as we transition to housing more inventory in our U.S. distribution hub, sales tax may apply based on your local state regulations.
When applicable, any required sales tax will be calculated and displayed at checkout, so you’ll always know exactly what you’re paying—no surprise charges after ordering.
