As Emerald Guitars looks ahead to an exciting new chapter, we are refreshing our lineup in 2026 to make room for future innovations and a more streamlined range. Part of that evolution means saying goodbye to several long-standing models that have each played a unique role in shaping our story.
From hybrid nylon-electrics to harp guitars, baritones, and multi-neck designs, these retiring instruments represent some of our most creative and ambitious work. Before they leave the range at the end of 2025, we want to celebrate what made each one special — and offer players a final opportunity to make one their own.
X10 Slimline Nylon — The Stage-Ready Nylon Hybrid
The X10 Slimline Nylon has been a favourite among performers seeking nylon-string warmth in a modern, highly playable format. Its slim carbon fiber body and ergonomic contours provide exceptional comfort, while its reduced depth naturally resists feedback on loud stages — making it ideal for live performance.

With advanced pickup configurations and optional MIDI capability, the X10 Slimline Nylon offers players access to a vast palette of sounds. For guitarists who want to explore MIDI textures with the use of guitar synths, it opens up new creative possibilities and the ability to add new sounds and textures not found on a guitar.
Chimaera — The 18-String Powerhouse
The Chimaera stands as one of the most distinctive and ambitious instruments we’ve ever built. With its double-neck design — a 6-string and a 12-string — this 18-string creation unlocks orchestral textures and new frontiers of musical expression.

Made possible using our one-piece carbon fiber molding technology, the Chimaera combines remarkable strength with surprising lightness and sensitivity. Its stability virtually eliminates the tuning challenges common to 12-string instruments, letting players enjoy more time making music and less time tuning!
With both acoustic and electric pickup options available, the Chimaera delivers a stunning range of tones, from shimmering acoustic beauty to powerful electric presence.
X20-7 — Expanding the Sonic Horizon
Created for players ready to step beyond the boundaries of standard tuning, the X20-7 extends the range of our flagship acoustic with an additional low B string. This expanded frequency range offers deeper fundamentals, richer chord voicings, and expressive possibilities across genres including metal, funk, jazz, and modern fingerstyle.

Its fanned-fret design ensures precise intonation on every string, while the ergonomic carbon fiber body and seamless neck heel makes it exceptionally comfortable for long sessions.
As we retire the X20-7, we celebrate it as a model that empowered musicians to explore lower tunings with clarity and confidence — a true expansion of the acoustic guitar’s expressive range
X20 Baritone — The Deep, Resonant Voice of the Emerald Lineup
The X20 Baritone has been a beloved tool for musicians looking to explore extended lower registers. Tuned down a fourth from standard tuning and built on an extended 27″ scale, it delivers the deep, resonant tones that baritone players cherish, while retaining the familiar feel of the X20 body.

Used across genres from metal to jazz to cinematic acoustic work, the X20 Baritone offers a powerful foundation for solo arrangements, vocal accompaniment, or studio textures. Its unique voice often inspires new musical ideas simply by inviting players into a new tonal landscape.
With the stability of carbon fiber construction, a player-facing soundhole for immersive monitoring, and a range of pickup options, the X20 Baritone is a go-to tool for performers and composers alike.
Synergy X7 & Synergy X20 — Harp Guitars for the Modern Player
The Synergy range brings the magic of harp guitars into a contemporary, comfortable design through the power of carbon fiber. Both the Synergy X7 and Synergy X20 pair our popular acoustic bodies with supplemental bass harp strings, adding a resonant, cinematic quality to every performance.

These models allow musicians to create rich bass beds, resonant drones, and expanded harmonic textures without sacrificing the familiarity and playability of a standard guitar. Lightweight construction, balanced ergonomics, and a ported side soundhole make the Synergy instruments remarkably intuitive for newcomers to the harp guitar world.

Built for durability and stability in any environment, the Synergy series helps many players explore a new range of creativity with new voices.
Synergy Uke — A Harp Ukulele with a Big Voice
The Synergy Uke extended the Synergy concept into the ukulele world, blending the cheerful clarity of a tenor uke with the sustain and warmth of added bass-harp strings. The result is a compact instrument with a surprisingly expansive tonal footprint.

Beautifully approachable yet endlessly inspiring, the Synergy Uke offers ukulele players and multi-instrumentalists a new dimension of sonic exploration. Its carbon fiber construction ensures stability, comfort, and longevity, while the harp format opens up new creative textures that can transform a simple melody into a full-range arrangement.
Kestrel — A Modern Carbon Fiber Archtop with Vintage Soul
The Kestrel redefines the archtop guitar by merging classic jazz-era aesthetics with the innovation and reliability of carbon fiber construction. Featuring elegant f-holes, a slotted headstock, and graceful contours, it pays homage to traditional archtop design while offering modern performance benefits.

Its slim 3.5″ body depth provides impressive acoustic response without the bulk of vintage hollow bodies. With a Graph Tech Ghost piezo in the floating bridge and a Krivo Micro Stealth humbucker, the Kestrel offers a versatile blend of acoustic realism and warm, vintage-inspired electric tones, with discrete volume controls allowing players to mix the two voices seamlessly.
Optional 13-pin MIDI integration further expands its potential, making the Kestrel one of the most forward-thinking archtops ever created.
Amicus Lefty — A New Voice for Left-Handed Players
The Amicus has long been one of the most distinctive voices in the Emerald range — a compact, high-tuned 12-string designed to deliver sparkling clarity, effortless playability, and a tonal character unlike anything else. With its shorter scale length, comfortable body size, and natural chime, the Amicus became a favourite for studio players, singer-songwriters, and musicians looking to add a fresh texture to their arrangements.

For left-handed musicians, the Amicus Lefty provided something truly rare: a premium, perfectly balanced short-scale 12-string built specifically with their needs in mind. Its unique tuning and bright harmonics made it ideal for layering, accompaniment, or exploring new compositional ideas, while the stability of carbon fiber ensured consistent performance in any climate.
X20-12 Lefty — A Lush 12-String Experience for Left-Handed Players
The X20-12 brings Emerald’s flagship ergonomic design into the world of 12-string acoustics, offering players a rich, full 12-string version of the X20’s balanced voice. With shimmering highs and a powerful, resonant low end, it delivers the lush, orchestral quality that 12-string players love — all with the tuning stability and reliability that carbon fiber makes possible.

The X20-12 Lefty: a professionally built, performance-ready 12-string designed specifically for left-handed guitarists. Its sculpted body contours, player-facing soundhole, and one-piece carbon fiber construction ensured a comfortable and immersive playing experience, even on an instrument that traditionally demands more effort.
