Emerald Guitars on display and sale at Summer NAMM in Nashville

We are delighted to announce that we have three Emerald Guitars on exhibition and sale at this year’s Summer NAMM this week.

The Emeralds on display will be part of the Boutique Guitar Showcase (Booth #1423) at the annual convention which takes place at the Music City Centre in Nashville, Tennessee from July 13 to 15.

The instruments on display and sale will be a Balor Woody Acoustic Bass, a black Amicus Artisan Short Scale 12-string and an X20 Woody Acoustic 6-string.

The Balor Acoustic Bass

After 15 years of developing the art of acoustic bass we set about not just redesigning, but reimagining what an acoustic bass guitar should be and now we are proud to bring to you Balor. Physics implies that an acoustic bass should be large to properly create low frequencies at a useable acoustic volume. So we have developed a completely new ergonomic shape that is 30 per cent larger than our previous model, yet feels more comfortable to play. Finally, we have created an acoustic bass with gut-rumbling low frequencies produced at a volume loud enough to compete in any acoustic jam session.

The Balor Woody exhibited at Summer NAMM 2017 is a CUSTOM SHOP model featuring an Amboyna Burl veneer taken from our select stock of veneers which is sourced from all over the world. It also features an LR Baggs Element Active System – VTC pickup and Gotoh Res-O-Lite GB350 Bass Machine Heads 20:1 ratio (cosmo black). Full spec sheet attached. Go to our Balor Artisan page for full specs

PRICE: $3,570

The Amicus Short Scale 12-string

The Amicus is a short scale 12-string which allows you to create a completely new sound with your guitar-playing. Imagine not having to learn any new chords, but playing a sound that is more reminiscent of a mandolin.

Its short 18” scale allows the Amicus to be tuned up to D, similar to having a capo at the tenth fret and with its full width neck spacing, it is a comfortable and familiar instrument for guitarists who can use their regular chord shapes.

The Amicus exhibited at Summer NAMM 2017 is a black ARTISAN model featuring Gotoh 510 tuners (18:1 ratio) and an LR Baggs Element Active System™ – VTC pick-up. Full spec sheet attached. Full details available here

PRICE: $1,695

The X20 Acoustic 6-string

The X20 is a guitar designed with the player in mind and not tradition. It features an ergonomic forearm bevel and a beveled cutaway to give even greater access to the fretboard.  Our unique asymmetrical back contours make the X20 sit more comfortably and securely on your knee.

The neck has a very comfortable shallow C profile with a 1 3/4″ nut and the heel is reduced in profile to give better access to the higher frets. Tonally this guitar has a big voice, We developed a new laminate structure to give it a richer fuller sound and with the unique soundhole placement it gives great projection to the player, while still giving your audience the fullness of your performance.

The X20 exhibited at Summer NAMM 2017 is a SELECT SERIES model from the July collection featuring a Royal Ebony veneer from our select stock, Gotoh 510 tuners (18:1 ratio) and an LR Baggs Anthem™ pickup. Full details available here

PRICE: $2,650
