Don Alder, Canadian Fingerstyle Guitarist, Performs in Ireland and Visits Emerald Guitars

Don Alder, international touring artist, Canadian fingerstyle guitarist, singer, songwriter, composer, and winner of several international guitar competitions, has been a great supporter of Emerald Guitars over the years, and we here at Emerald love getting to support Don, his beautiful musical compositions, and innovative playing style.

I met Alistair at NAMM a few years ago and was amazed by his drive and persona to innovate. He let me try out an Amicus in a hotel room and I was blown away. This was my first time playing a non-wood product, and that got me excited. I also learned he was very supportive as he was one of the sponsors for The Fingerstyle Collective Tour years ago. He also loaned me a Synergy harp guitar to use on my European tour.

Don recently performed a few shows here in Ireland and had a chance to stop by the Emerald factory for a visit. He also took some time to shoot some videos with us of him performing a few of his songs on our April 2019 Bocote Select Series X20 and our red carbon X20 Baritone.

We recently connected in Ireland, and again, he loaned me a couple of guitars for my shows. Once again, I was blown away by the sound and playability. While I was there, I also met some of his team at the Emerald factory in Donegal county. All I can say is top flight product, top flight company, with top flight people. I’m proud to be an Emerald Guitars Amicus 12 Artist.
